Jonmichael Hands

Jonmichael Hands is the CEO of FarmGPU, a neocloud infrastructure provider delivering sovereign AI compute with their cluster management stack, open-source OCP networking, and world-class AI storage in partnership with Solidigm.

Before FarmGPU he spent 10 years at Intel in the Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group, leading product line management, strategic planning, and technical marketing for the Intel datacenter SSD portfolio. He started my storage career at Sun Microsystems, designing storage arrays (JBODs). EE degree from the Colorado School of Mines.

He worked for Chia Network on the decentralized storage blockchain. Dropped a casual 40 exabytes of HDDs in 2021.

He also chairs the Open Compute Project Future Technologies Initiative workstream, "Scaling AI Clusters at Neoclouds"—an open forum convening neoclouds, OEMs, networking and power vendors, and facilities operators around the unique challenges of scaling AI infrastructure across regional providers and emerging hyperscalers.
