Turning deep infrastructure expertise into credible business strategy, and the execution plans that make it stick
Technical differentiation only creates lasting advantage when it is supported by strong ecosystems, clear market strategy, and disciplined execution. Jeni Barovian has spent her career building all three across silicon, software, and communications infrastructure.
In 2024, she took on one of the semiconductor industry’s more complex assignments: rebuilding Altera’s commercial organization following its spinout from Intel in preparation for a major transaction. As Senior Vice President and Head of Market Development, she rebuilt go-to-market teams, sharpened execution, and drove growth in design wins and operating efficiency across communications, data center, industrial, and defense markets.
That work drew on more than 25 years at Intel, where she rose from rotation engineer to General Manager of major business divisions. Along the way, she helped shape key silicon and software reference architectures for edge and telecommunications infrastructure and led one of Intel’s largest computing businesses.
Jeni has served on the boards of the Open Compute Project Foundation and the Telecommunications Industry Association. She holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. At TechArena Advisory, she advises companies on product strategy, ecosystem development, and durable technical differentiation.
Jeni combines strategic thinking with a strong bias for action. She quickly synthesizes complex data into structured execution, identifying the themes that matter most. A collaborative leader and trusted advisor, she inspires followership through authenticity and servant leadership. Jeni consistently elevates both strategy and outcomes, helping teams move decisively toward the most important opportunities.
